Either AARP is an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community or it isn't. . . .

About one month before my trial against AARP for firing me because I am gay was about to begin, AARP posted this:

You will understand why I know for a FACT this is not true: I proved in court that I was discriminated against and illegally fired by AARP for being gay. They didn't stand up for my rights, they violated them. If AARP was truly an advocate and believed this statement that un-shockingly went out just before trial, then after losing a 9-day trial and on all subsequent appeals, one would think they would end my discrimination and really focus on making this statement a reality. An advocate would do better.
What AARP has done is continue to litigate even though the chances of overturning the jury verdict are next to ZERO. Seriously, on average statistically there is less than a 7% chance of getting a JURY verdict overturned in a civil case. I wonder if whomever is making the decisions at AARP knows this?!? I personally believe in my case, it is less than 1% due to how vigorously they have litigated this for 7+ years. Remember, they couldn't get one judge to agree with them, how are they going to get 2 out of 3?!?
At a time when the current administration is attacking the LGBTQ+ community, we need advocates that will stand with us and fight - BUT ACTUAL ADVOCATES. We don't need an "advocate" who SAYS they stand up and fight LGBTQ+ discrimination at the same time continue my discrimination and persecution. NOR one who spends money supporting my community while also spending on litigation, once again continuing my discrimination and persecution. This is not one of those times two things can be true.
AARP- STOP! Its the 50th Anniversary of DC PRIDE and World Pride is here in DC. End the lawsuit! Become a true advocate! End my discrimination and make changes to ensure that no other AARP employee needs to worry about being targeted and fired for being born gay! Do what you tell the world you do, be an LGBTQ+ Advocate and don't continue my discrimination - one that has been proven in a court of law.
